Rules


Each player starts with 20 ‘time’ represented by D20(s). 


This ‘time’ is both your health, and the remaining amount of turns you have. 


Whichever player reaches 0 turns first loses the game. 


The Battlezone



This is your battlezone, the place you’ll be playing your cards, spells, and using your deck.


Waiting Zone - When you first play a card, it sits in the ‘waiting zone’ for as much ‘time’ as the number on the small clock icon on the top left of the card. While in the waiting zone, your card abilities do not apply and you can not attack.


Spell Zone - When you play a spell, it sits in the ‘spell zone’ until enough ‘time’ has passed for its effect to apply. You can only play one spell at a time, but this gives you time to counter your opponent.  


Battlefield - When you’ve waited as many turns as needed for the card to reach (0), it enters the ‘battlefield’. Once in the battlefield, it’s ability can be used and it’s passive effect becomes active. From the battlefield, you can choose to attack. 


Deck- This is where your deck of cards will be. A deck consists of (50) cards, with no more than (3) duplicates of any card. Some cards give the same type as itself special boosts or abilities, so be sure to build around a theme.


Graveyard - After a spell's effect has been activated and is over, or when one of your cards health reaches zero, it enters the graveyard. These cards cannot be used and are left in the graveyard unless you have an ability that says otherwise.


Exile - In the unlikely event a card is ‘exiled’, it is sent to this zone and there is absolutely no way to use this card and its effects for the rest of the game. No ability can get a card out of ‘exile’


Play Order


This is the order you will play your turn, and the basic rules to playing cards and battling.


  1. Placement Phase

-Draw (1) card

-Place cards in the ‘Spell Zone’ and ‘Waiting Zone’

-Use abilities of activated spells and cards in the battlefield if applicable (i.e. ‘when your turn starts…’)

  1. Battle Phase

-Choose attackers and targets (you can choose ONE CARD to target the opponent, who will lose ‘time’ equal to that cards damage)

-Both players card abilities activate if applicable (i.e. ‘when this card enters battle…’)

-Attackers and targets both take damage equal to their opponents ‘Atk’

-Cards are sent to the graveyard

  1. End Phase

-Place cards in the ‘Spell Zone’ and ‘Waiting Zone’

-Use abilities of activated spells and cards in the battlefield if applicable (i.e. ‘when your turn ends…’)

-Pass turn to opponent
